About us...

Australian-born Marty went walk about in 1996 finding himself in southern California designing and shaping surfboards up and down the coast. Falling in love with the action, food, music and lifestyle... Marty finally settled in oceanside California where he met and quickly married California-native Trish.  They purchased a home on a fishing village "Popotla" also one of Baja's top left-handers, where they immersed themselves into the street food and surfing lifestyle, traveling, clean eating, music loving and kid raising are the key ingredients to their magic. Traveling between California, Mexico, Hawaii and Australia for the last 10 years, their passion for lifestyle between working  music festivals, surfing and food became their life venture.  After influencing the start of a Mexican restaurant on the Gold Coast in 2012, the couple came away with the fact that authentic Mexican cuisine is best expressed the traditional taco truck style. Offering whats in season, changing the menu and price points to suit specific crowds and keeping the overheads low to be able to offer this combination.

In 2012 Marty and Trish went back to Trish's hometown of Escondido, California when her dad's health took a turn for the worse. Marty and Trish's brother, Matt had a classic late night and the idea of the taco truck was born. Trish and Grammie worked in the families kitchen perfecting the authentic tastes that they grew up with. Through her dad's final years the taco truck was designed and the love was poured in.
